Chaboya Youth Tutoring Club

Are you patient?
Do you have good sportsmanship and citizenship?
Are you willing to spend at least one hour per week to help out elementary school students who may require special attention in academics?
Are you in the 7th grade, or higher?
Did you get a GPA of 3.8 or higher on your last report card, or received A's on the single subject you would like to tutor for?
If you can readily answer "yes" to all of these questions, then you are welcome to join us at CYTC!

At CYTC, you spend at least one hour a week to help students that may need extra help in math, social studies, science, or English. When you volunteer to help other students, you gain a feeling of accomplishment and a boost of self-confidence. Experience with people, also known as socializing, is essential for your future contact with teachers and colleagues. Also, the hours accumulated at CYTC counts toward your service learning project. And, finally, while you teach others, you also learn something from them.
